Merhaba à Taroudante!

تارودانت

Coucou mes chatons!

Me voilà à Taroudante dans le sud du Maroc! Je viens d'y arriver!
After two weeks back in the U.K. for a flying visit to Cambridge and Norfolk, where I grew up, I find myself back in Morocco again, but this time in the South! Visiting England was a bit surreal; a) it was so, so cold in comparison to Morocco, b) nothing had changed so it seemed like I hadn't ever gone away and c) all my uni friends were busy finishing up the second term and were all exhausted and I just wanted to go out and have fun and they wanted to relax!
Anyway, just a quick update to let you all know I am safely ensconced in Taroudannt, where I will be spending the remainder of my Year Abroad volunteering for Moroccan Children's Trust in various roles - primarily as a French tutor for their soutien scolaire and as an English tutor for their older students who are currently sitting their baccalauréat. Hopefully, I will also get to work with their women's group, which supports the mothers of the children in the centre, their preschool and their general activities with the kids. We have even talked about potentially setting up a weekend drama group with the kids, which is definitely ma tasse du thé

A bientôt!
